Chocolate Sugar Cookie Bars with Peanut Butter Frosting

Sugar Cookie Bars

So this post doesn’t really count, but then, really what qualifies as “counting”? One of the deep questions I ponder for the day. Along with “who taught my two year old to negotiate?” and “why aren’t slippers acceptable footwear outside the house?”. This post doesn’t count because it’s really just the combination of two recipes that are already on this blog. The first is the chocolate sugar cookie recipe found here, except made into bars for the ultimate lazy person. The second is the peanut butter frosting from this post  smeared all over the top. There are two bars featured in the picture above because I DARE you, no….I double dog dare you with a cherry on top to eat less than two in one sitting. I’m not going to tell you how many I ate because it’s none of your business, it might have been more than two. Enjoy!

Chocolate Sugar Cookie Bars with Peanut Butter Frosting

Start with this recipe, but instead of dropping or rolling your sugar cookies out, spread the entire batch of dough in a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper (this takes a touch of patiences as it is a thick thick dough but it can be done with a piece of parchment paper on top and your hands pushing and smoothing the dough out). Bake at 375 for approx. 11-13 minutes, until set. Let cool.

Top with this peanut butter frosting recipe. Remove bars from pan and cut into individual servings. Store in an air tight container at room temp.
